Body contouring

Harmonious proportions have always been considered attractive. They allow to define the perception of beauty. This may as well apply to the human body. Genetic disposition, pregnancy, drastic weight loss and other factors may lead to unattractive fat depots and loose skin. Especially in middle age, there is an arbitrary distribution of adipose tissue and the consolidation of fatty deposits, which cause not only the dissatisfaction with one’s own body, but also lead to the psychological problems.

Thanks to many years of my professional experience in the field of plastic, reconstructive and aesthetic surgery, I was able to prove my talent through more than a thousand surgeries and helped many people to find happiness anew. At the first personal consultation, I will explain to you what opportunities are in general and which ones can bring us as close as possible to the expected result. I will also explain to you in detail the course of treatment and will draw up for you a personal plan.

Body tuck-up (lifting)

Whether due to pregnancy or dramatic weight loss, sluggish, sometimes saggy skin is not only optically unattractive but can be a real torture when choosing clothes or performing any kind of movement. If an active lifestyle and balanced diet do not help, it is time to turn to reconstructive plastic surgery. There is usually no need to re-tighten the body skin because the skin does not grow back and the rest of the skin usually loses its elasticity as it naturally ages.
Overall body tuck-up is possible in almost all areas, but in my web site I will dwell on three procedures in more detail.

Tummy tuck (abdominoplasty)

Abdominoplasty — is the surgical removal of the excess tissue in the abdominal area. The aim of this treatment is harmonic and well defined shape of the abdomen and waist. For this procedure to bring the needed results it is important to keep the stable weight during a considerable period of time before it.  This procedure is not recommended in cases of weight swings, as it will have negative effect on the general result. This is not the surgery to lose weight. The current procedure is often combined with the liposuction: excess fat and skin are removed to improve the post-surgical result. The surgery is performed in the hospital and the first results are visible already afterwards. The final result may be observed in a couple of weeks.

Thigh lift (thighplasty)

The thigh lift is also a surgical removal of the excess tissue, yet, in the internal part of the thigh. The decrepitude and sagging of this area is usually the result of drastic and significant weight loss, which causes excess skin to sag. As already mentioned with abdominoplasty, this procedure can also be combined with liposuction to achieve the best possible results. Depending on the degree of excess skin, this can be either a small incision near the perineum or a longitudinal incision across the entire thigh. Here you also need to count on the same rehabilitation time as with abdominoplasty.

Arm lift (brachioplasty)

Excess skin after rapid weight loss shrinks by itself, but often this does not happen quickly enough or the skin is not elastic enough, which leads to decrepitude and sagging of the skin. Very often with the area of the upper extremities the liposuction is enough, after which the skin tightens slightly again. If the excess skin is too large, then surgical intervention is necessary.

  • In-patient for 1-2 night
  • Compression garments: 6 weeks
  • Sick leave: 2 weeks
  • Pain: from insignificant to weak
  • Price: from EUR 3,500

Post-surgery rehabilitation with the wearing of compression garments is necessary after any of the operations described above: this reduces the risk of bleeding opening and achieves a more uniform lifting effect. As mentioned, almost all body tightening procedures can be combined with liposuction. In practice, this is often done this way, because in most cases we are talking about excess fat cells in combination with excess tissue. Local anesthesia is often sufficient for small surgeries of this type. However, basic surgical procedures, such as a complete tummy tuck, are performed under general anesthesia.

Liposuction

Despite sufficient physical activity and a healthy lifestyle, in some cases the desired weight loss does not come. Every so often the stubborn body fat accumulates and does not want to disappear due to genetic predisposition. In such cases, liposuction is recommended. Liposuction is an aesthetic surgical procedure in which excess fat cells are removed from the certain areas of the body and, if necessary, are applied to other areas. It is often used in conjunction with the body-lifting surgery to achieve an even more ideal shape. However, it is important to know that liposuction cannot replace the weight loss and after the procedure, you must adhere to a healthy lifestyle, eat right and do sports.
Currently, liposuction is the only and the best method to fight against excess girth in cases of the hereditary lipidema disease. This procedure helps not only to achieve visual improvement in the patient’s appearance, but also to fight the limitations caused by this disease.
This procedure is performed on an outpatient basis and can be applied to almost all areas of the body, for example:

  • tummy (upper and lower abdomen)
  • tight (internal and external parts)
  • breeches
  • breast (mainly for men)
  • lower legs
  • buttocks
  • and others

The post-surgery rehabilitation should be accompanied by the wearing of compression garments, which promote tissue regeneration and also reduce the risk of bleeding opening. The first results can be seen immediately after the surgery, but the final result is visible after three – four months.

  • Outpatient or day hospital
  • Sick leave: no
  • Compression garments: 4 weeks
  • Sports: pause for 2 weeks
  • Pain: insufficient
  • Price: Starting from 2,800
