Although men and women are totally different, they have one thing in common – human beings. To feel truly happy with your life, you should feel comfortable and confident in your own skin and learn self-worth.
Today, cosmetic medical treatment has become one of the most important keys for a comfortable living both professionally and socially and fighting back against the aging process. Unfortunately, it happens very often that our tiny quirks and flaws in our head lead to serious issues, even for men. Psychological issues such as dissatisfaction with appearance or embarrassment can burden your daily life. Low self-esteem, indeed, can lead to a lack of confidence and feeling badly about oneself. Nevertheless, it has been believed that invasive aesthetic procedures initially are dealing with body issues of female patients, whereas men are left behind the scene.
Plastic surgery has been tailored to meet the unique aesthetic needs and wishes of men who want to improve their image while maintaining natural-looking results. As the experience shows, all procedures can be performed equally for both men and women.
The most common procedures include:
- Wrinkle correction (Botox, hyaluronic acid, autologous fat transfer, thread lifting, etc.)
- Scar correction
- Hyperhidrosis treatment
- Tumor removal
- Eyelid- lifting
- Ear correction surgery
- Rhinoplasty (using the hyaluronic acid)
- Lip reshaping (using the hyaluronic acid or autologous fat)
- Face contouring (using the hyaluronic acid or autologous fat)
- Hand surgery
The female breast is a accepted as a potent symbol of beauty. That’s why a growing number of women seek cosmetic surgery to lift, reshape, enlarge or reduce their breasts. However, it is different for men. Men with enlarged breasts (gynecomastia) very often suffer from emotional or psychological stress, embarrassment or lack of self-confidence. Gynecomastia is a benign enlargement of the male breast glandular tissue. It is genetic pathology of male breast, a relatively common disorder, that results from an imbalance in the hormonal environment in the male body or may occur after taking certain medications. The result of this surgical treatment is flatter, firmer and well-contoured chest.
Effective therapy depends on the patient’s previous diagnosis and particular cause of the symptoms being experienced. There is “true” and “false” gynecomastia.
False gynecomastia (pseudogynecomastia)
Pseudogynecomastia (“imitation”), involves breast enlargement caused by an excess of adipose tissue in the chest area. It is the accumulation of pectoral fat that is usually stored behind and around the nipple area. In the majority of cases liposuction is the solution for a problem of pseudogynecomastia. Liposuction is a type of cosmetic treatment that removes fat through a small incision made under the nipple, is normally carried out under general anesthesia. After the procedure the contour of the chest is reshaped, and skin is tightened. Small incisions will make a scar neat and slightly visible. It should be noted that to successfully maintain your weight, you need to make lifestyle changes to prevent new fat accumulation in the chest area.
In contrast to pseudogynecomastia, true gynecomastia is caused by a proliferation of the mammary glands with emerging dense glandular tissue of the male breast.
A s a rule, the doctor will usually opt for surgical excision here. Surgery usually involves a surgical removal of the excess glandular breast tissue and liposuction of the excess fat to achieve a better outcome (if it is necessary). The procedure can be combined with breast lift that slightly raises the nipple & areola to create an overall better proportioned, natural looking breast.
